Grimm Star Elizabeth Tulloch to Play Lois Lane in The CW Crossover Event

The CW has cast former Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch in the role of Lois Lane for this year’s superhero crossover event, premiering on Sunday, December 9th at 8 p.m. It was announced earlier this year that Tyler Hoechlin will return as Superman once again and that Lois would appear with him.

Lois Lane made her comic book debut alongside Superman in 1938’s Action Comics #1A, and has appeared with him in all of his live-action appearances since. Lois’s sister Lucy Lane, played by Jenna Dewan, was also a regular in Supergirl’s first season, while Glen Morshower played Lois and Lucy’s infamous father, Gen. Sam Lane, for a few episodes.

In addition to Grimm, Elizabeth Tulloch has appeared in alongside Will Smith in Concussion, opposite Paul Giamatti and Billy Bob Thornton in Parkland, and in the Academy Award-winning The Artist.

“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Lois Lane to the Arrowverse. This dogged, determined and brave reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and amazing addition to our universe of DC characters,” Supergirl executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner said previously.

The crossover starts on Sunday, Dec. 9 with The Flash at 8 p.m., followed by Arrow on Dec. 10 at 8 p.m., and concluding Dec. 11 at the same time with SupergirlDC’s Legends of Tomorrow is not part of the crossover this year.

The crossover will also mark the first appearance of Batwoman, played by Ruby Rose (Orange is the New Black). She will play the role in the Batwoman series in development for the 2019-20 season as well.
