Ed Harris (Westworld), Jon Hamm (Tag, Mad Men), and Lewis Pullman (The Strangers: Prey at Night) have joined the Top Gun: Maverick cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Who they are playing is being kept under wraps for now.
They are joining Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly and Glen Powell in the Joseph Kosinski-directed film.
The Top Gun: Maverick cast members also include Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit, The True History of the Kelly Gang), Charles Parnell (A Million Little Pieces), Jay Ellis (Insecure), Bashir Salahuddin (GLOW, Snatched), Danny Ramirez (Assassination Nation, On My Block), and Monica Barbaro (The Good Cop, Splitting Up Together). Tom Cruise is reteaming with his Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski for the Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions film, which will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Cruise, and Skydance’s David Ellison. The script was written by Peter Craig, Justin Marks and Eric Warren Singer.
Top Gun: Maverick is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 12, 2019.
