Dr. Grace Augustine Returns in Avatar Sequels Photo

Producer Jon Landau has shared a great new photo from the set of the Avatar sequels which shows the return of Sigourney Weaver’s Dr. Grace Augustine and Joel David Moore’s Norm Spellman. The photo was taken during the filming of a scene at Site 26.

Considering the events of the first Avatar movie, it’s unclear if this will be a flashback scene, but Site 26 was the mobile link station in the Hallelujah Mountains where Dr. Grace Augustine, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Norm Spellman and Trudy Chacón (Michelle Rodriguez) went to. The move was made so that Sully wouldn’t share information about the Na’vi anymore with Colonel Miles Quaritch.

“Had a chance to go through some photographs from production of the Avatar sequels,” said Landau. “Thought I would start off by sharing one of me with Sigourney Weaver and Joel David Moore back in the Site 26 Shack set for some scenes for the new movies.”

Back in December of 2019, it was announced that live-action filming for the anticipated sequels had wrapped.”That’s a wrap for 2019, Na’vi Nation!” said the production. “Today was our last day of live-action filming in New Zealand, and we’re celebrating with a sneak peek — check out this photo of the aft well deck section of the Sea Dragon, a massive mothership that carries an array of other sea-going craft in the Avatar sequels.”

Since then, the unveiling of the Avatar-inspired Mercedes-Benz VISION AVTR took place at CES in Las Vegas in January. At the presentation, we got the first official concept art for the Avatar sequels which you can view below.
