The BBC debuted a new teaser for Doctor Who Series 11 during the World Cup final today and you can watch it here! The effective teaser introduced viewers to the new Doctor, Jodie Whittaker. She will be the Thirteenth Time Lord and is taking over from Peter Capaldi.

The teaser features the new regular cast members who will be joining Whittaker! Bradley Walsh will star as Graham, Tosin Cole will play Ryan, and Mandip Gill will play Yasmin on Series 11. Also joining Doctor Who in a returning role is Sharon D Clarke.

New head writer and executive producer Chris Chibnall (Broadchurch), who made the decision to cast the first ever woman in the iconic role, is also shaking up who will travel with the Doctor in the TARDIS, with a team of new characters.

Doctor Who Series 11 will be a 10-week run of 50-minute episodes in fall 2018, kicking off with a feature-length hour for the opening launch.

The new Doctor Who cast will make an appearance at Comic-Con this week at a panel introducing Whittaker, who will be joined by Cole and Gill, as well as Chibnall and executive producer Matt Strevens (An Adventure in Space and Time).
