HBO has given the green light to a third season of Divorce, the comedy series created by Sharon Horgan and starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Thomas Haden Church. Divorce Season 3 will consist of six episodes. The first season was 10 episodes long and the second season, which premiered in January, had eight episodes.
Filming on Divorce Season 3 will begin in early 2019 with new showrunner Liz Tuccillo at the helm and Becki Newton being upped to regular for the next season. Season two was executive produced by Jenny Bicks, Sarah Jessica Parker, Alison Benson, Sharon Horgan and Aaron Kaplan.
The second season found Frances (Parker) and her ex-husband, Robert (Church) dealing with the aftermath of their explosive separation and learning to rebuild their lives. The show also stars Molly Shannon, Talia Balsam, Tracy Letts, Sterling Jerins and Charlie Kilgore.
Alone Together came from Esther Povitsky, Benji Aflalo and Eben Russell, who served as writers and executive producers. Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, Akiva Schaffer, Paul Mather, and Becky Sloviter also served as executive producers.
The second season featured a roster of stellar comedic acts and continued to follow the platonic, dysfunctional co-dependent, best friendship of Povitsky and Aflalo’s characters.
