Designated Survivor Season 3 Premiere Date Set for June 7

In addition to the May 2019 titles, Netflix today revealed the Designated Survivor Season 3 premiere date. The streaming service posted “an important message from the President” in which Kiefer Sutherland recaps the first two seasons and it’s revealed that the third season launches on June 7th.

The political drama, starring Kiefer Sutherland, is helmed by showrunner Neal Baer from global studio Entertainment One (eOne). The series was picked up for 10 more episodes following its cancellation by ABC.

In Designated Survivor Season 3, President Kirkman (Sutherland) will face a political reality… campaigning. What does it take to make a leader? What price will he be willing to pay? This season will explore today’s world of campaigning, smear tactics, debates, campaign finance and “fake news.” Democracy, as we know it, will hang in the balance.

Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream exclusively on Netflix in the U.S. and Canada.

The creator of Designated Survivor is David Guggenheim. The executive producers are Mark Gordon, Kiefer Sutherland, Suzan Bymel, Simon Kinberg, Aditya Sood, and Peter Noah.
