Descendants 3 Trailer Brings on Uma and Hades

The new Descendants 3 trailer debuted on Good Morning America today and you can now watch it using the player below. While there’s no specific premiere date yet, the third installment will debut this summer on Disney Channel.

In Descendants 3, Mal (Dove Cameron), Evie (Sofia Carson), Carlos (Cameron Boyce) and Jay (BooBoo Stewart) return to the Isle of the Lost to recruit a new batch of villainous offspring to join them at Auradon Prep. When a barrier breach jeopardizes the safety of Auradon during their departure off the Isle, Mal resolves to permanently close the barrier, fearing that nemeses Uma (China Anne McClain) and Hades (Cheyenne Jackson) will wreak vengeance on the kingdom. Despite her decision, an unfathomable dark force threatens the people of Auradon, and it’s up to Mal and the VKs to save everyone in their most epic battle yet.

The cast also includes Sarah Jeffery as Princess Aurora, Thomas Doherty and Dylan Playfair reprising their roles as Harry and Gil, and Mitchell Hope as King Ben.

Descendants 3 is again directed by Emmy and DGA Award-winning Kenny Ortega (Descendants and its sequel, High School Musical trilogy).

The Descendants 3 screenplay was written by Sara Parriott and Josann McGibbon who, with Kenny Ortega and Wendy Japhet, are also the movie’s executive producers. Kara Saun is the costume designer. Mark Hofeling is the production designer. Shawn Williamson is the producer. Jamal Sims joins Kenny Ortega as choreographer.
