It looks like we’re getting some new updates on the highly-anticipated Death Stranding on Wednesday, May 29, as both Kojima Productions and game director Hideo Kojima have posted teases on social media. The Death Stranding reveal teasers include the following text: “The countdown of #DeathStranding has started… May 29th. Create the rope.”
The last time we got any news was at the 2018 Tokyo Game Show back in September. That trailer revealed Troy Baker’s character, the Man in the Golden Mask. In the trailer, the character uses his mask to conjure a frightening beast that Norman Reedus’ Sam Bridges must face.
The English voice cast includes Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Lindsay Wagner, Emily O’Brien, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Guillermo del Toro, and Troy Baker, while the Japanese voice cast includes Kenjiro Tsuda, Akio Ohtsuka, Kikuko Inoue, Nana Mizuki and Satoshi Mikami.
In the game, besieged by death’s tide at every turn, Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the stranded remnants of the future in his hands, Sam embarks on a journey to reunite the shattered world one step at a time. What is the mystery of the Death Stranding? What will Sam discover on the road ahead? A genre defining gameplay experience holds these answers and more.
