With both Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Cowboy Ninja Viking having been pushed back, Chris Pratt had a big hole to fill in his schedule. Variety says that he’s found a new project in Fast, which Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone) is writing and will direct.
According to the trade, the film “follows a former special forces commando (Pratt), who’s recruited by the DEA to lead a black ops strike team targeting drug dealers who are protected by the CIA.”
Fast would be Sheridan’s follow-up to his directorial debut, 2017’s Wind River. David Heyman is producing the Warner Bros. Pictures project, which is reportedly in the $70 to $80 million range.
Chris Pratt this year appeared in both Avengers: Infinity War and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The former earned $2 billion worldwide and the latter took in $1.3 billion globally.
