Amazon Prime Video today announced that noted entrepreneur, fashion star and influencer Chiara Ferragni has joined the new fashion competition series Making the Cut as part of the Judge and Guest Judge panel. The announcement comes as the Amazon Original series, hosted and produced by Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn, brings the high-stakes challenge to Tokyo as it films in some of the world’s most iconic fashion destinations.
Making the Cut will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in 2020 in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.
Ferragni is among the lineup of previously-announced Judges and Guest Judges, including supermodel Naomi Campbell, style icon Nicole Richie, former Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Paris Carine Roitfeld, and fashion designer Joseph Altuzarra.
Making the Cut brings together 12 talented entrepreneurs and designers from around the globe who are competing to take their fledging brands to the next level in becoming the next big global phenomenon. Looks from Making the Cut will be shoppable on Amazon, and the winner of the series will receive $1 million to invest in their brand.
Ferragni is internationally known for her personal style blog, The Blonde Salad, and is the Founder and CEO of the talent agency TBS Crew Srl, and the internationally distributed ready-to-wear brand Chiara Ferragni Collection. A successful cover model, she has appeared on more than 100 international fashion magazines, and Forbes named her the Most Powerful Fashion Influencer.
