BritBox September 2022 Schedule Announced

BBC Studios and ITV have announced the BritBox September 2022 titles, which include everything from new BritBox Originals to classic British fare. BritBox is a digital video subscription service offering the largest collection of British TV in the U.S. and Canada.

The BritBox September 2022 schedule includes the new series Suspect, starring James Nesbitt (The Hobbit) and featuring Richard E. Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me?), Sam Heughan (Outlander) and Joely Richardson (Lady Chatterley).

Suspect follows veteran detective Danny Naylor (Nesbitt) as he sets out on an agonizing mission to uncover the truth about his daughter’s death through a succession of intense one-to-one interrogations.

As he struggles to make sense of the opposing testimonies and evidence, Danny is forced to come to terms with his own failings as a father and the part he himself may have played in her downfall.

The BritBox September 2022 slate also includes the return of the award-winning anthology series Inside No. 9, which is back for a seventh season with dynamic duo Steve Pemberton (Killing Eve) and Reece Shearsmith (Psychoville).

Also returning for a seventh time is fan-favorite series Shetland, starring Douglas Henshall (Outlander) and based on the best-selling books by crime writer Ann Cleeves. Rounding out the series collection, BritBox will also be adding Murder, Mystery and My Family Season 5 and Murder, Mystery and My Family, Case Closed Seasons 3-4.

In this spin-off series, criminal barristers Jeremy Dein and Sasha Wass revisit some of the cases they investigated previously and catch up with the family members about developments since the original programs aired.

From an infamous case of poisoning in 1880s Liverpool to the drowning of a wife and mother in Victorian Bath, the pair re-investigated historic convictions in order to determine whether irreversible mishandles of justice had occurred.
