BritBox October 2022 Schedule Announced

BBC Studios and ITV have announced the BritBox October 2022 titles, which include everything from new BritBox Originals to classic British fare. BritBox is a digital video subscription service offering the largest collection of British TV in the U.S. and Canada.

The BritBox October 2022 schedule includes the captivating crime thriller Sherwood from award-winning writer James Graham (Quiz and Brexit: The Uncivil War). The series Lesley Manville (Mum, Phantom Thread), Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey), David Morrisey (The Walking Dead) and Kevin Doyle (Downton Abbey).

Sherwood is drawn from real-life events and is a shockingly relevant thriller about a burgeoning lack of trust in local police and national government.

The BritBox October 2022 slate also includes Karen Pirie, in which the next great British female detective comes forward. The drama series is based on the best-selling novels by Val McDermid and adapted by Emer Kenny (Father Brown).

October 1, 2022: Robin of Sherwood | New to BritBox | 26 X 50
This cult favorite sees a reimagining of the Robin Hood story. Robin of Loxley (Michael Praed, Dynasty) is chosen by the mystical Herne the Hunter to become his ‘son’ and champion the oppressed.

Gathering a band of comrades around him, he fights a guerilla campaign against their Norman dictators, particularly the Sheriff of Nottingham and his deputy, Guy de Gisburne (Robert Addie, Red Dwarf).
