Here is the official synopsis, which clearly is meant to draw a comparison to the Paramount Network phenomenon Yellowstone with its tagline “Montana has its cattle. Iceland has its fish.”
‘Set in the 1980s in a small Icelandic fishing village, the story follows a married couple, Harpa and Grimur, who along with their childhood friends, build a small fishing empire thanks to the introduction of the fishing quota system in the country.
“But the struggle for power deeply corrupts the couple, resulting in a feud of jealousy, greed, and betrayal.”

Whether it’s a Nordic-noir crime thriller (The Killing), an Italian supernatural political drama (The Miracle) or a haunting true crime docu-series from the UK (The Missing Children), Topic expands your view of the world.
