HBO Max has revealed the supersuit for the anticipated new character Blackfire (Damaris Lewis) from the action-packed DC series Titans. Created by costume designer Laura Jean (“LJ”) Shannon, the suit follows the previously-revealed Starfire and Red Hood costumes.
Lewis plays the first-ever live-action Blackfire and was introduced to fans at the end of season two.
The first two seasons of Titans are now available to stream on the HBO Max streaming service with season three of the Max Original, which is currently in production, premiering later this year.
Along with Blackfire, returning characters include: Dick Grayson, aka Nightwing (Brenton Thwaites); Kory Anders, aka Starfire (Anna Diop); Rachel Roth, aka Raven (Teagan Croft); and Gar Logan, aka Beast Boy (Ryan Potter).
Also featured are Donna Troy, aka Wondergirl (Conor Leslie); Jason Todd, aka Red Hood (Curran Walters); and Conner Kent, aka Superboy (Joshua Orpin); with Hank Hall, aka Hawk (Alan Ritchson); and Dawn Granger, aka Dove (Minka Kelly).
Titans is produced by Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television. Based on the characters from DC, the series was developed by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns & Greg Berlanti, with Johns, Berlanti, Greg Walker and Sarah Schechter serving as executive producers.
Titans season three will draw our heroes to Gotham City, where they will reunite with old friends and face new threats.
In the action-packed, live-action series, Dick Grayson, aka the former Robin, emerges from the shadows to lead a band of new heroes – including Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and others. The series follows this group of young heroes as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the iconic Teen Titans franchise.
In the first season Dick meets Rachel Roth aka Raven (series star Teagan Croft), a young girl with special abilities brought on by a mysterious darkness inside of her that she struggles to control, and together, they find themselves embroiled in a conspiracy to bring about Hell on Earth.
Joined by the mysterious Kory Anders aka Starfire (series star Anna Diop) and loveable Gar Logan aka Beast Boy (series star Ryan Potter), these lost and disparate individuals become a surrogate family to one another and a team of heroes for the world.
The second season of Titans culminated with the long-awaited emergence of Nightwing as their leader and the tragic death of one of their own.
As a new mysterious threat looms, Titans season three promises to be the biggest yet.
