On the heels of the shocking season five finale, Showtime has announced that Billions Season 6 will premiere on Sunday, January 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Billions Season 6 will star Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Paul Giamatti, Corey Stoll and Maggie Siff.
Daniel Breaker (Girls5eva), who stars as Scooter, the brilliant and locked down Chief of Staff of Michael Prince (Stoll), has been upped to series regular. You can watch the teaser for Season 6 below.

Exiting is Damian Lewis, who played lead character Robert “Bobby” Axelrod in the first five seasons of the popular show executive produced by Brian Koppelman and David Levien.
Damian Lewis talked about leaving the series on his Twitter account: “Thank you ‘Billions’… thank you Brian Koppelman [and] David Levien. A pleasure and a privilege to play Axe for 5 seasons with some of the smartest, funniest most talented cast and crew I’ve worked with.

He added: “I’ll miss the Billions family. Yep, some jobs are more than just a job…. Love.”
Koppelman also tweeted: “What an incredible joy to spend five years working so closely with the great Damian Lewis! David Levien and I are beyond grateful to you, Damian, for the work, of course, and the fellowship, and for all you sacrificed to come do this with us.”

In season six of Billions, the dust of season five clears to reveal a world that has evolved. With Axe (Damian Lewis) gone and Michael Prince assuming his place, Chuck (Giamatti) must develop a new strategy that is keener and more sophisticated than before.
All the players, from Wags (David Costabile) to Wendy (Siff), from Taylor (Asia Kate Dillon) to Sacker (Condola Rashad), and of course Senior (Jeffrey DeMunn), must sharpen their weapons and look for new alliances in order to survive. The ground is ever shifting and the stakes absolute. New king, new war, new rules.

Billions is created and executive produced by showrunners Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The series was also created by Andrew Ross Sorkin.
