Bill and Ted Face the Music Soundtrack Releasing Aug. 28

Orion Pictures has announced the Bill and Ted Face the Music soundtrack, featuring Weezer’s new original song, “Beginning of the End (Wyld Stallyns Edit).” The Bill and Ted Face the Music soundtrack will be available on August 28 (pre-order at Amazon).

The music video for the song, which you can watch below, brings together Weezer with iconic duo William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. (Alex Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Keanu Reeves) to rock out to Weezer’s characteristic pop melodies and SoCal rock sound.

The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. (Alex Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Keanu Reeves). The now middle aged best friends set out on a new adventure to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe, with the helped by their daughters (Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine), a new batch of historical figures and a few music legends.

The film also stars Kristen Schaal, Erinn Hayes, Jayma Mays, Holland Taylor, Kid Cudi, Anthony Carrigan, Jillian Bell, Beck Bennett, William Sadler, Hal Landon Jr. and Amy Stoch.

Bill and Ted Face the Music will be released On Demand and in select theaters on August 28. The movie was directed by Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest, Red 2, Fun with Dick and Jane) from a script by returning franchise writers Chris Matheson (Imagine That, A Goofy Movie) and Ed Solomon (Men in Black, Mosaic).

Bill and Ted Face the Music will continue to track the time-traveling exploits of William ‘Bill’ S. Preston Esq. and Theodore ‘Ted’ Logan.

Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it.

Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends – to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.

Bill & Ted Face The Music is produced by Scott Kroopf (Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Limitless) alongside Alex Lebovici and Steve Ponce on behalf of Hammerstone Studios.

Steven Soderbergh, R. Scott Reid, John Ryan Jr., Scott Fischer and John Santilli are serving as executive producers.

The film is financed by media entrepreneur and producer David Haring along with Patrick Dugan of Dugan Entertainment. Orion Pictures will release the sci-fi adventure comedy through United Artists Releasing.
