Netflix has ordered the limited drama series Behind Her Eyes, based on the best-selling book by Sarah Pinborough.
The series is described as follows: “Since her husband walked out, Louise has made her son her world, supporting them both with her part-time job in a psychiatrist’s office. Her world is thrown off kilter when she begins an affair with her new boss David and matters take an even stranger turn when she’s drawn into an unlikely friendship with his wife Adele. What starts as an unconventional love triangle soon becomes a dark, psychological tale of suspense and twisted revelations, as Louise finds herself caught in a dangerous web of secrets where nothing and no-one is what they seem.”
The six-episode Behind Her Eyes series is produced by Left Bank Pictures in association with Sony Pictures Television. Steven Lightfoot (The Punisher, Hannibal) will write and executive produce. Since the series is shooting in the UK, Lightfoot won’t be day-to-day on the show if The Punisher is picked up for a third season.
Angela LaManna is also a writer and Eliza Mellor is producing. The executive producers are Suzanne Mackie, Andy Harries and Jessica Burdett for Left Bank Pictures (The Crown).
