Barbarian Movie Screens at SDCC and New Clip

San Diego Comic-Con audiences were “horror-fied” by 20th Century Studios’ and New Regency’s Barbarian movie at a special screening attended by writer-director Zach Cregger with a surprise appearance by cast member Justin Long.

A new clip from the film was also released and can be watched below. The film will open in theaters in the U.S. and Canada on Friday, September 9. You can still watch the trailer here.

In the Barbarian movie, a young woman traveling to Detroit for a job interview books a rental home. But when she arrives late at night, she discovers that the house is double booked, and a strange man is already staying there.

Against her better judgment, she decides to spend the evening but soon discovers that there’s a lot more to fear than just an unexpected house guest.

From 20th Century Studios and New Regency, Barbarian stars Georgina Campbell, Bill Skarsgård, Justin Long, Matthew Patrick Davis, Richard Brake, Jaymes Butler, and Kurt Braunohler.

The producers are Arnon Milchan, Roy Lee, Raphael Margules and J.D. Lifshitz. Yariv Milchan, Michael Schaefer, Natalie Lehmann, Danny Chan, Alex Lebovici, and Bill Skarsgård are the film’s executive producers.

Campbell’s TV credits include Murdered by My Boyfriend, Flowers, Broadchurch, and Krypton.

Skarsgård is most known for playing Pennywise in the It films and has also appeared in Hemlock Grove and Castle Rock.

Long has starred in such films as Jeepers Creepers, Dodgeball, Accepted, Live Free or Die Hard, and Drag Me to Hell.

The film was written and directed by Zach Cregger, whose credits include Newsboyz and The Whitest Kids U’Know series.
