Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas Cast Revealed by Netflix

Netflix has announced new cast members of the upcoming anime series Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, a spinoff series that serves as a prequel to Zack Snyder’s upcoming 2021 zombie action heist film Army of the Dead.

The anime series chronicles the origin story of Scott (Dave Bautista) and his rescue crew during the initial fall of Vegas as they confront the mysterious source of the zombie outbreak.

The series will be executive produced by Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Wesley Coller from The Stone Quarry alongside Jay Olivia and Shay Hatten. Meduzarts Animation Studio will serve as the animation studio.

Zack Snyder will direct two episodes. Jay Oliva (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and upcoming Netflix Original Anime Series Trese) will be showrunning as well as directing two episodes of the series.

Jena Malone (Antebellum) as Zeta

Yetide Badaki (American Gods) as Queen Meeru

Christina Wren (Man of Steel) as Nicole

Monica Barbaro (The Good Cop) as Meagan

Nolan North (Star Trek: Lower Decks) as Clemenson

They join previously-announced cast members Dave Bautista, Ana De La Reguera, Tig Notaro, Omari Hardwick and Ella Purnell, who will all reprise their feature roles in the anime series.

In addition to the anime series, a live-action prequel to Army of the Dead is also in the works. Shay Hatten (Army of the Dead) will write the prequel as well as the anime series.

The Army of the Dead Netflix prequel will be directed by and star Grimme Award winner Matthias Schweighöfer and will follow his character Ludwig Dieter. The movie will be produced out of Germany.

The film will be produced by Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder and Wesley Coller of The Stone Quarry and Matthias Schweighöfer and Dan Maag of PANTALEON Films.

Army of the Dead is produced by The Stone Quarry’s Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder and Wesley Coller. It will be released on Netflix in 2021 and follows a group of mercenaries into a zombie infested Las Vegas, Nevada who try to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.

Army of the Dead is directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen, Man of Steel, 300) from a story by Snyder and screenplay by Joby Harold and Zack Snyder & Shay Hatten.
