Annette Bening is in talks to join the cast of Death on the Nile at Disney’s 20th Century Fox, according to Deadline. Bening would join Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Letitia Wright (Black Panther), Armie Hammer (The Social Network), Jodie Comer (Killing Eve) and Kenneth Branagh (Henry V) in the cast.
Branagh will direct Death on the Nile, after his 2018 direction of the earlier Christie adaptation Murder on the Orient Express. He will reprise the role of detective Hercule Poirot.
The screenplay will be adapted by Michael Green, and Judy Hofflund, Simon Kinberg, Ridley Scott, Kevin Walsh and Mark Gordon will produce the film. Death on the Nile is based on the 1937 novel by Agatha Christie.
Annette Bening was most recently seen in the superhero film Captain Marvel and is known for her work in American Beauty, 20th Century Women, The Kids Are Alright and The American President.
