AMC+ December 2022 Programming Announced

AMC has announced the programming that will be available on the AMC+ streaming service in December. The AMC Plus December 2022 lineup includes a wide variety of critically acclaimed and commercial-free programming, including compelling new dramas, fan-favorite franchises, and film collections from across the company’s networks and streaming services.

The AMC Plus December 2022 holiday programming includes the new comedy Christmas with the Campbells, starring Justin Long and Brittany Snow, Shudder slasher Christmas Bloody Christmas, the new Anna Gunn thriller The Apology, and holiday romance Saving Christmas Spirit.

Also available are BBC America special Top Gear: Driving Home for Christmas, Shudder special Joe Bob’s Ghoultide Get-Together, AMC+ exclusive documentary All of Them Witches, and AMC’s annual “Best Christmas Ever” holiday movie event all month long.

The AMC Plus December 2022 slate also includes new episodes of AMC+ Original Series Gangs of London, starring Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Paapa Edssiedu and Lucian Msamati, and newcomer this season, BAFTA-nominee Waleed Zuaiter.

The AMC Plus December 2022 offerings continue with the season finale of BBC America’s Mood, an original drama from actor, writer, and singer-songwriter Nicôle Lecky, and Sundance Now Original Litvinenko, a four-part limited series starring David Tennant.

Available as well are new Sundance Now exclusive Dating Death, a true crime series about “The Dating Game Killer,” and AMC+ and Shudder exclusive film premiere Burial, starring Charlotte Vega, Tom Felton, and Harriet Walter.

Christmas with the Campbells – New Film Premieres Friday, December 2 *In Theaters and on AMC+
Vince Vaughn (Fred Claus), Peter Billingsley (A Christmas Story), and Dan Lagana (American Vandal) give the traditional holiday romcom a new spin. When Jesse’s boyfriend Shawn dumps her right before the holidays, his parents convince her to still spend Christmas with them and Shawn’s handsome cousin while Shawn is away.

Mood is the highly anticipated first drama series from actor, writer, and singer-songwriter Nicôle Lecky, based on her critically acclaimed Royal Court play (Superhoe).

In the six-part series, Sasha Clayton (Lecky) dreams of becoming a major recording artist, but right now, she’s a bedroom artist, spending her days smoking weed and stalking her ex-boyfriend (Jordan Duvigneau, My Mum Tracy Beaker) on Instagram.

When she is kicked out of her family home for drunkenly trying to burn her ex’s house down, Sasha becomes homeless and is forced to fend for herself, sofa-surfing with local drug dealer Saleem (Mohammad Dalmar). Everything seems to change when she meets and moves in with Instagram influencer and party girl Carly (Lara Peake, Brave New World), who introduces her to the exciting world of making money and becoming ‘famous’ on social media.

It’s Christmas Eve, and fiery record store owner Tori Tooms (Riley Dandy, A Hollywood Christmas) just wants to get drunk and party. Then, the robotic Santa Claus (Abraham Benrubi, Robot Chicken) at a nearby toy store goes haywire and makes her night more than a little complicated.

Santa Claus begins a rampant killing spree through the neon-drenched snowscape against a backdrop of drugs, sex, metal, and violence, ultimately forcing Tori into a blood-splattered battle for survival against the ruthless heavy metal Saint Nick himself. Top Gear – New Episodes Premiere Thursdays Until Christmas Special on December 15
Hosts Freddie Flintoff, Chris Harris, and Paddy McGuinness are back with all-new episodes of Top Gear. Highlights of the new season include a pick-up truck pilgrimage across Thailand, a supercar showdown in the Alps, a test of the latest affordable electric microcars in Paris, and a thorough – and thoroughly outrageous – look at the best way to get into the delivery driver game on a budget.

The Apology – New Film Premieres Friday, December 16 *In Theaters and on AMC+
Starring Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad), Linus Roache (Law & Order), and Janeane Garofalo (Wet Hot American Summer), The Apology picks up with recovering alcoholic Darlene Hagen (Gunn) 20 years after the disappearance of her daughter, as she’s preparing to host her family’s Christmas celebration with her best friend Gretchen (Garofalo).

Late Christmas Eve, Darlene’s estranged ex-brother-in-law Jack (Roache) arrives unannounced, bearing nostalgic gifts and a heavy secret. Litvinenko – Limited Series Binge Premieres Friday, December 16
Alexander Litvinenko (David Tennant, Doctor Who), a former Russian spy, Kremlin critic, and British citizen, lies in a London hospital bed, his condition deteriorating rapidly. Detectives are summoned to take his statement – he claims to have been poisoned and points the finger directly at President Vladimir Putin. Litvinenko dies just a few days later, surrounded by his family.

Dating Death – Limited Series Binge Premieres Tuesday, December 20
Dating Death is a true crime series that covers the disturbing history of Rodney Alcala and how he targeted his victims by posing as a professional photographer. Despite committing horrible crimes over the years, Alcala consistently evaded detection and brutally killed eight identified women between 1968 and 1979.

He was finally captured after investigators identified him when he appeared as a contestant on the popular reality show, ‘The Dating Game,” in the midst of his murder spree, where he wound up winning a date with the female contestant. *Sundance Now Exclusive

All of Them Witches – New Documentary Film Premieres Wednesday, December 21
Historically, the witch has been seen as a dangerous crone conjuring destructive magic. She was perceived as a threat to the community and in league with the Devil. This is the untold story of the Witch and her persecution and perseverance throughout history.

Saving Christmas Spirit – New Film Premieres Friday, December 23

Gangs of London – New Episodes Premiere Thursdays Until Season Finale on December 29
One year after the death of Sean Wallace and the violent reckonings of season one, the map and soul of London has been redrawn.
