AMC+ December 2021 Programming Announced

AMC has announced the programming coming to the AMC+ streaming service in December. The AMC Plus December 2021 lineup includes a wide variety of critically-acclaimed and commercial-free programming, including compelling new dramas, fan-favorite franchises, and film collections from across the company’s entertainment networks and targeted streaming services.

The AMC Plus December 2021 programming includes the dark holiday feature Silent Night, starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Goode, AMC’s annual month-long “Best Christmas Ever” event featuring holiday favorite films, and new holiday romances Cape Cod Christmas and Christmas with Felicity.

The AMC Plus December 2021 slate also includes the premiere of AMC+ Original Firebite, a high-octane original spin on the vampire genre set in the South Australian desert; AMC+ Original Anne Boleyn, a three-part limited series starring Jodie Turner-Smith in the titular role; and AMC+ Original crime thriller Ragdoll, from the producers of Killing Eve and starring Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Thalissa Teixeira and Lucy Hale, will continue every Thursday.

As part of the AMC Plus December 2021 schedule, you can also expect new episodes of AMC+ Original Anna, a dystopian Italian-language limited series based on the critically acclaimed novel; the season finale of BBC America’s Doctor Who: Flux, starring Jodie Whittaker, Mandip Gill and John Bishop.

Behind the Monsters – Season Finale Wednesday, December 1
The new original docu-series Behind the Monsters takes a deep dive on cinematic horror icons, including Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Candyman, Chucky and Pinhead, and features interviews with horror experts and the writers, directors and actors from the original films that made each character the stuff of genre legends. Anne Boleyn – New Limited Series Premieres Thursday, December 9
Starring Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim) in the titular role, the three-part psychological thriller
explores the final months of Anne Boleyn’s life from the eponymous Queen’s perspective, as she struggles to secure a future for her daughter and to challenge the powerful patriarchy closing in around her. Anne Boleyn depicts the key moments that cause Anne to topple, unpicking her immense strength, her fatal vulnerabilities and her determination to be an equal among men.

The ensemble cast includes Emmy and BAFTA Award nominated actor Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You, AMC+’s Gangs of London) as Anne’s brother and Tudor nobleman George Boleyn.
