Warner Bros. Television is working on an ALF reboot, which will have the Alien Life Form returning to Earth and living with a new family. Original writers Tom Patchett and Paul Fusco (who performed the ALF character) are attached, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The original series ran on NBC from 1986 to 1990. The series centered on the title character, aka Gordon Shumway, an extraterrestrial who crash lands in the garage of the suburban middle-class Tanner family.

The series stars Max Wright as Willie Tanner, Anne Schedeen as Kate Tanner, and Andrea Elson and Benji Gregory as their children, Lynn and Brian Tanner.

The trade adds that the ALF reboot has been in the works since May.
