The screening, which is set to begin around 8:45 p.m., will be held within a horse corral surrounded by 70+ horses in stables. Nope is the latest horror feature from writer/director Jordan Peele, following his previously acclaimed films Get Out and Us.

The film, in theaters July 22nd, stars Oscar-winner Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Oscar nominee Steven Yeun as residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery. Tickets and more information are available here.

In honor of Nope‘s release, Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas will also offer a limited-time menu inspired by the film’s southwest setting. Guests can enjoy the Sheriff’s Office Pork Belly Pizza, Haywood Ranch Cowboy Dip, and two signature cocktails, Skyy Dancer Lemonade and Blood Rain Skyy Punch.

The new themed menu will be available at all Alamo Drafthouse locations starting on July 14th.

On Friday, September 16th, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and the Lincoln Park Zoo present another stop on their 25th Anniversary tour in Chicago, IL, with a wild movie-going experience set within the TAWANI Great Hall at the newly-renovated Pepper Family Wildlife Center. Guests will enjoy Walt Disney Pictures’ beloved animated classic The Lion King just a few feet away from a pride of African lions with views from all angles, including overhead skylights.

Guests are encouraged to bring their whole pride to this all-ages, interactive Alamo Drafthouse Family Party that celebrates the film with themed games, hands-on crafts, and fun activities for the kids before the show. Further details and tickets will be available soon.

“We’ve got so much cool stuff in store for you this year,” says Tim League, Alamo Drafthouse co-founder and Executive Chairman.

“These events are more than just a celebration of our anniversary; they’re an expression of our love for film, that same love we’ve shared with our guests for 25 years.”

Chicago is also the future home of the upcoming Alamo Drafthouse Wrigleyville, in the Addison and Clark development directly across the street from the beloved Wrigley Field, which is currently slated to open in November 2022. The 6-screen theater will introduce Alamo Drafthouse’s iconic brand of cinema exhibition to the Chicago marketplace for the first time.

Complete with a custom Ferris Bueller photo opportunity, a Video Vortex-themed bar (Video Vortex is Alamo Drafthouse’s curated revival of the video rental store), award-winning in-theater dining, and exciting signature programming, Alamo Drafthouse Wrigleyville will provide unique cinema experience for Windy City movie-goers.
