The third movie was announced in September 2020 by returning stars Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin. The film was announced alongside the fourth film, After Ever Happy.

Directed by Castille Landon (After Ever Happy), the After We Fell movie stars Langford as Tessa Young and Tiffin as Hardin Scott. The film was written by Sharon Soboil and produced by Jennifer Gibgot, Brian Pitt, Wattpad’s Aron Levitz, CalMaple’s Mark Canton and Courtney Solomon.
Also starring are Louise Lombard as Trish, Rob Estes as Ken Scott, Arielle Kebbel as Kimberly, Chance Perdomo as Landon, Frances Turner as Karen, Kiana Maderia as Nora, Carter Jenkins as Robert, with Stephen Moyer as Christian Vance and Mira Sorvino as Carol.

The third installment of the After franchise finds Tessa starting an exciting new chapter of her life. But as she prepares to move to Seattle for her dream job, Hardin’s jealousy and unpredictable behavior reach a fever pitch and threaten to end their intense relationship.
Their situation grows more complicated when Tessa’s father returns and shocking revelations about Hardin’s family come to light. Ultimately, Tessa and Hardin must decide if their love is worth fighting for or if it’s time to go their separate ways.

After We Fell is based on the third book in Anna Todd’s After series (buy at Amazon). The book is officially described as follows: “Tessa and Hardin’s love was complicated before. Now it’s more confusing than ever. AFTER WE FELL… Life will never be the same.
“Just as Tessa makes the biggest decision of her life, everything changes. Revelations about first her family, and then Hardin’s, throw everything they knew before in doubt and makes their hard-won future together more difficult to claim.

“Tessa’s life begins to come unglued. Nothing is what she thought it was. Not her friends. Not her family. The one person she should be able to rely on, Hardin, is furious when he discovers the massive secret she’s been keeping. And rather than being understanding, he turns to sabotage.
“Tessa knows Hardin loves her and will do anything to protect her, but there’s a difference between loving someone and being able to have them in your life. This cycle of jealousy, unpredictable anger, and forgiveness is exhausting. She’s never felt so intensely for anyone, so exhilarated by someone’s kiss—but is the irrepressible heat between her and Hardin worth all the drama? Love used to be enough to hold them together. But if Tessa follows her heart now, will it be…the end?”

The first movie was released in theaters on April 12, 2019 and grossed $69.7 million worldwide, with $12.1 million coming from North American theaters and $57.6 million from overseas. After was directed by Jenny Gage.
In the movie, a dedicated student, dutiful daughter, and loyal girlfriend to her high school sweetheart, Tessa Young enters her first year of college with grand ambitions for her future. She lives a controlled life with a strong sense of who she is, and who she ought to be.

Her guarded world opens up when she meets the dark and mysterious Hardin Scott. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, and plentiful tattoos, Hardin is the wild, brooding rebel that Tessa would typically shun. And she does – until she finds herself alone with him late one night at the lake, drawn by his magnetic energy…
As Tessa experiences her first taste of freedom, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery and sexual awakening that will change her forever. Finding her voice and an inner passion she never knew she had, Tessa realizes there will always be the life she had before Hardin, and then everything…AFTER.

Directed by Roger Kumble, the second film, After We Collided, was released in theaters and On Demand on October 23, 2020.
In the sequel, Hardin will always be… Hardin. But is he really the deep, thoughtful guy Tessa fell madly in love with – or has he been a stranger all along? She wishes she could walk away. It’s just not that easy.

Not with the memory of the passionate nights they spent together. Still, Tessa’s not sure she can endure one more broken promise. She’s focused on her studies and just starting an exciting new internship at Vance Publishing. She’s also being pursued by Trevor, a handsome new co-worker who is exactly the kind of guy she should be with.
Hardin knows he made a mistake, possibly the biggest one of his life. He wants to right his wrongs and overcome his demons. He’s not going to lose Tessa without a fight. But can he change? Will he change… for love? AFTER WE COLLIDED… Life will never be the same.”
