The Strange Calls
Part oddball comedy, part mystery, this unique Australian series paints a lighthearted portrait of a recently disgraced city cop, Toby Banks (Toby Truslove, Bad Mothers, House Husbands), who has been transferred to the seemingly-quiet, idyllic coastal town of Coolum Beach to man the night duty desk. His job is to answer the late evening phone calls from locals – moments of midnight madness that reveal the bizarre truth of the town: a place where people turn into chickens, mermen go to the school dance and a mysterious radio jingle can transform you into a lawn-mowing zombie.

Assisted by night security man Gregor (Barry Crocker, The Adventures Of Barry McKenzie), Banks wearily sets out to investigate these “strange calls.” He’s always known he was born to help people, he just didn’t realize it would be these people, in this crazy town. (6 EPS, 2012)

I love Acorn and have been watching for about 5 years. Last week, I lost access, cannot download with Edge, Google Chrome , Explorer or Fire Fox so I looks like I have to get a new computer or cancel. For the moment am considering cancelling as there is no news from Acorn and the message is that I don't have proper equipment. Why, after 5 years.
