A Look at the Jurassic World: Dominion Filming

While filming is currently on hold, director Colin Trevorrow is still giving us a peek at the Jurassic World: Dominion production. The filmmaker has shared two new shots on Twitter today and we’ve included his previously-posted Instagram post as well.

The Jurassic World: Dominion cast will be led by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who are returning from Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Also reprising their roles from the first film in the trilogy are Jake Johnson and Omar Sy, while Daniella Pineda and Justice Smith are coming back as their Fallen Kingdom characters.

The upcoming movie will see the return of Jurassic Park stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum reprising their roles as Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Dr. Ian Malcolm.

Joseph Mazzello, who played Tim Murphy in the original film, has also hinted that he’ll be back in the tweet below. There’s no word yet on whether Ariana Richards will be back as Lex.

Newcomers to the cast include DeWanda Wise and Mamoudou Athie.

Colin Trevorrow is returning to direct the third chapter in Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s Jurassic World saga. Steven Spielberg and Trevorrow return to executive produce. Producers Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley once again partner with Spielberg and Trevorrow for this installment.

Joining the Jurassic team is Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim Uprising, The Black Hole), who has co-written the Jurassic World 3 screenplay with Trevorrow. They worked from a story by Derek Connolly and Trevorrow, who together co-wrote Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Trevorrow directed 2015’s Jurassic World, which went on to gross $1.67 billion worldwide and is the sixth-highest-grossing film in cinema history. Trevorrow will also continue to consult with Spielberg and Marshall on the management of the growing Jurassic brand, including video games, toys, novels, animated LEGO shorts and theme parks.

The Jurassic franchise has grossed more than $5 billion collectively at the worldwide box office. You can check out Bryce Dallas Howard’s new hairstyle for the sequel below as well.

Jurassic World: Dominion is scheduled to hit theaters on June 11, 2021. We’ll have to wait and see if that release date sticks now that filming has been pushed back.

I'm so happy that Allan Grant (Sam Neill), Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), Ian Malcom (Jeff Goldblum) and Barry Sembène (Omar Sy) will be back for Jurassic World: Dominion. The other characters from the Jurassic Park trilogy (played by the same actors) that I would so like to see again are: Tim Murphy (Joseph Mazzello), Alex Murphy (Ariana Richards), Sarah Harding (Julianne Moore), Kelly Malcom (Vanessa Lee Chester), Nick Van Owen (Vince Vaughn), Billy Brennan (Alessandro Nivola), Charlie Degler (Blake Michael Bryan) the Ellie Sattler's son.

It would be fun to see those characters again!
