Ramy Season 2 and Taste the Nation Trailers Released by Hulu

-

Hulu has revealed new trailers for Ramy Season 2 and Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi, featuring the award-winning cookbook author, host and executive producer.

All 10 episodes of the second season of the critically-acclaimed comedy series Ramy, starring Golden Globe Award winner Ramy Youssef, will premiere on Friday, May 29.

Ramy follows first-generation, Egyptian-American Ramy Hassan (Youssef), who is on a spiritual journey in his politically-divided New Jersey neighborhood. Ramy brings a new perspective to the screen as it explores the challenges of what it’s like to be caught between a religious community who believes life is a moral test, and a millennial generation that doubts an afterlife even exists.

In the second season, Ramy delves further into his spiritual journey, finding a new Muslim community and embracing a deeper commitment to his faith.

Alongside Youssef, the new season will star two-time Academy Award and Golden Globe Award-winner Mahershala Ali. The series also features Mohammed Amer, Hiam Abbass, Amr Waked, May Calamawy, Dave Merheje, Laith Nakli and Steve Way.

Ramy is written, executive produced, created by and starring Ramy Youssef, executive produced by A24’s Ravi Nandan, co-creators Ari Katcher and Ryan Welch, Jerrod Carmichael, and produced by A2.

Here is also the previously-released trailer for the second season.

All 10 episodes of Hulu’s unscripted series Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi will premiere on Friday, June 19.

In Taste the Nation, Lakshmi takes audiences on a journey across America, exploring the rich and diverse food culture of various immigrant groups, seeking out the people who have so heavily shaped what American food is today.

From indigenous communities to recent immigrant arrivals, Padma breaks bread with Americans across the nation to uncover the roots and relationship between our food, our humanity and our history – ultimately revealing stories that challenge notions of identity, belonging, and what it means to be American.

The series is executive produced by Padma Lakshmi along with Part2 Pictures’ David Shadrack Smith and Sarina Roma.
