HBO has released ten photos and the promo for Westworld Season 3 Episode 8, which is titled “Crisis Theory” and is described as follows: “Time to face the music.”
The third season finale was directed by Jennifer Getzinger from a script by Denise Thé and Jonathan Nolan.
Earlier this month, Casey Bloys, president, HBO Programming, announced that HBO renewed the Emmy-winning drama series for a fourth season.
“From the western theme park to the technocratic metropolis of the near future, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed every twist and turn from the minds of master storytellers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy,” said Bloys. “We can’t wait to see where their inspired vision takes us next.”
A dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the question of free will, the show was created for television by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy, who are also executive producers.
The returning cast members in Season 3 include Evan Rachel Wood as Dolores, Emmy winner Thandie Newton as Maeve, Ed Harris as Man in Black, Jeffrey Wright as Bernard, Tessa Thompson as Charlotte, Luke Hemsworth as Stubbs, and Rodrigo Santoro as Hector Escaton.
Having joined the cast this season are Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, Bojack Horseman) as Caleb, Vincent Cassel (Black Swan) as Serac, Lena Waithe (HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show, Master of None) as Ash, Scott Mescudi (HBO’s upcoming We Are Who We Are) as Francis, Marshawn Lynch (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as Giggles, John Gallagher Jr. (HBO’s The Newsroom and Olive Kitteridge) as Liam, Michael Ealy (Stumptown) as Jake, and Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy) as Conells.
Westworld was created for television by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy, who are executive producers with J.J. Abrams, Athena Wickham, Richard J. Lewis, Ben Stephenson, and Denise Thé.
The production companies include Kilter Films and Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series is based on the film written by Michael Crichton.
