Billions Trailer Shows New Footage from the Fifth Season

-

Showtime has brought online a second official Billions trailer, which features new footage from the anticipated fifth season premiering on Sunday, May 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The first seven episodes of the season will debut starting in May, with the remainder to air later this year.

Starring Oscar nominee and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Paul Giamatti and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Damian Lewis, the fifth season includes new recurring guest stars Corey Stoll (House of Cards) and Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife).

Damian Lewis as Bobby "Axe" Axelrod and Corey Stoll as Michael Prince in BILLIONS.

In season five of Billions, Bobby Axelrod (Lewis) and Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) see their vicious rivalry reignited, while new enemies rise and take aim. Social impact pioneer Mike Prince (Stoll) poses a true threat to Axe’s dominance, and Chuck feuds with a formidable district attorney (Roma Maffia).

Taylor Mason (Asia Kate Dillon) is forced back to Axe Capital, where Taylor must fight to protect their employees and their assets. Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff) reevaluates her loyalties and forges surprising new alliances that put her at odds with both Chuck and Axe.

Julianna Margulies as Catherine Brant in BILLIONS.

Margulies plays Catherine Brant, an Ivy League sociology professor and bestselling author. The series also stars David Costabile, Condola Rashad, Kelly AuCoin and Jeffrey DeMunn.

Billions is created and executive produced by showrunners Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The series was also created by Andrew Ross Sorkin.

His film credits include First Man, Ant-Man, Café Society, Midnight in Paris (in which he portrayed Ernest Hemingway, earning him an Independent Spirit Award nomination) and This Is Where I Leave You.
