The Walking Dead Season 10 Finale to Air Later This Year

-

AMC announced today that the network will be unable to complete post-production of The Walking Dead Season 10 finale due to current events. The finale will air as a special episode later this year instead.

“Current events have unfortunately made it impossible to complete post-production of The Walking Dead Season 10 finale, so the current season will end with its 15th episode on April 5,” the network said. ” The planned finale will appear as a special episode later in the year.”

They added that “the first 8 episodes of The Walking Dead Season 10 will be available for free on AMC.com and the AMC app, immediately following the last Season 10 episode on Sunday, April 5 through Friday May 1.”

This comes after the news that the network has moved back The Walking Dead: World Beyond premiere date from Sunday, April 12th to later this year. They did, however, just debut a new promo for World Beyond which you can watch below.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, The Walking Dead tells the story of the months and years after a zombie apocalypse and follows a group of survivors who travel in search of a safe and secure home.

The series is executive produced by chief content officer Scott M. Gimple, showrunner Angela Kang, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Denise Huth.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond expands the universe of The Walking Dead, delving into a new mythology and story that follows the first generation raised in a surviving civilization of the post-apocalyptic world. Two sisters along with two friends leave a place of safety and comfort to brave dangers, known and unknown, living and undead on an important quest.

Pursued by those who wish to protect them and those who wish to harm them, a tale of growing up and transformation unfurls across dangerous terrain, challenging everything they know about the world, themselves and each other. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. But all of them will find the truths they seek.
