Westworld Season 3 Episode 3 Promo and BTS of Episode 2

Following the premiere of the second episode, HBO has released the promo for Westworld Season 3 Episode 3, which is titled “The Absence of Field” and is described as follows: “If you don’t like what you see in the mirror, don’t blame the mirror.”

Directed by Amanda Marsalis from a script by Denise Thé, Westworld Season 3 Episode 3 will premiere on HBO Sunday, March 29 at 9 p.m.

In addition to the promo, HBO is also giving a behind-the-scenes look at the second episode, which debuted on Sunday, March 22 and is titled “The Winter Line.”

Directed by Richard J. Lewis from a script by Matthew Pitts and Lisa Joy, it is officially described as follows: “People put up a lot of walls. Bring a sledgehammer to your life.”

A dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the question of free will, the show was created for television by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy, who are also executive producers.

Returning cast members include Evan Rachel Wood as Dolores, Emmy winner Thandie Newton as Maeve, Ed Harris as Man in Black, Jeffrey Wright as Bernard, Tessa Thompson as Charlotte, Luke Hemsworth as Stubbs, and Rodrigo Santoro as Hector Escaton.

Joining the cast this season are Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, Bojack Horseman) as Caleb, Vincent Cassel (Black Swan) as Serac, Lena Waithe (HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show, Master of None) as Ash, and Scott Mescudi (HBO’s upcoming We Are Who We Are) as Francis.

Also on board are Marshawn Lynch (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as Giggles, John Gallagher Jr. (HBO’s The Newsroom and Olive Kitteridge) as Liam, Michael Ealy (Stumptown) as Jake, and Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy) as Conells.

The first two seasons of Westworld received a combined 42 Emmy nominations. The second season’s 20 Emmy nominations resulted in three wins, including: Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Thandie Newton), Outstanding Makeup for a Single-Camera Series (Non-Prosthetic) and Outstanding Hairstyling for a Single-Camera Series.

Westworld was created for television by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy, who are executive producers with J.J. Abrams, Athena Wickham, Richard J. Lewis, Ben Stephenson, and Denise Thé.

The production companies include Kilter Films and Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series is based on the film written by Michael Crichton.
