Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson in the New Jungle Cruise Trailer

-

The Walt Disney Studios has brought online the new trailer for Jungle Cruise, scheduled to open in theaters on July 24, 2020.

Join fan favorites Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt for the adventure of a lifetime on Disney’s Jungle Cruise, a rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton.

Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila – his ramshackle-but-charming boat. Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities – possessing the power to change the future of medicine.

Dwayne Johnson is Frank and Emily Blunt is Lily in Disney’s JUNGLE CRUISE.

Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate — and mankind’s — hangs in the balance.

Jaume Collet-Serra (The Commuter, The Shallows) directs the film, which stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramirez and Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti.

John Davis, John Fox, Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia and Beau Flynn are the producers, with Scott Sheldon and Doug Merrifield serving as executive producers. The story is by Glenn Ficarra & John Requa and Michael Green, and the screenplay is by Glenn Ficarra & John Requa.

Dwayne Johnson is Frank and Jack Whitehall is Macgregor in Disney’s JUNGLE CRUISE.

In addition to Johnson starring in Jungle Cruise, he’s also developing a new series for Disney+ with Dany Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions and the Nacelle Company titled Behind the Attraction. The series will bring you behind the scenes to experience and celebrate how the beloved Disneyland attractions creatively came to be. Behind the Attraction is a 10-episode, hour-long series.

Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson also had some fun on social channels yesterday with a video in which the stars pretended they were debuting the new poster. They both showed a poster in which they themselves were featured but the other actor was almost hidden. You can check out the video below and we’ve included the posters underneath.

We’ve included the previously-released trailer and poster below as well.
