Vida Season 3 Premiere Date, Trailer and Key Art Revealed

-

Starz announced today that Vida Season 3 will premiere on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, airing six episodes week-to-week on STARZ in the U.S. and Canada and on STARZPLAY across Europe and Latin America.

Vida returns with Emma and Lyn riding on the heels of success. The bar is booming and their love lives are actually flourishing… until the Hernandez sisters discover a long-buried family secret that ruins their hard-won peace.

The sisters find themselves face to face with old ghosts and new enemies, all while deciding if they can continue together as a family or if they should move on alone, for good this time.

“Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes with a perfect score of 100% for its first two seasons and Comedy Series Award–winner at the 2019 GLAAD Media Awards, Vida is created and executive produced by Tanya Saracho.

Also executive producing are Big Beach TV’s Robin Schwartz, Peter Saraf and Marc Turtletaub; and Stephanie Langhoff (Togetherness, The Bronze, The Skeleton Twins).

Vida stars Melissa Barrera (Club de Cuervos, upcoming In the Heights) as Lyn, Mishel Prada (Riverdale) as Emma, Ser Anzoategui (East Los High) as Eddy, Chelsea Rendon (Bright) as Marisol, Carlos Miranda (The Bling Ring) as Johnny, and Roberta Colindrez (I Love Dick) as Nico.

The third season of Vida wrapped filming in Los Angeles in November 2019, and was written by an all-Latinx writers room and directed by Latina directors Jenée LaMarque and Tanya Saracho.

“It is a rarity in television today to have a series earn this level of critical praise for two consecutive seasons and spark cultural conversation in the way that ‘Vida’ has,” said Starz COO Jeffrey Hirsch previously. “We are proud to continue to tell this story with Tanya and the incredible cast and crew she has assembled.”

In the second season of Vida, Lyn and Emma began the monumental task of rebuilding their mother’s business while navigating financial constraints, competing developers, and the growing anti-gentrification movement.

Lyn and Emma must contemplate the relationships in their lives, including their own, and are forced to dig deep to unearth what their mother’s legacy means to them.
