New Photos of the Wonder Woman 1984 Armor Revealed

-

Following a first look at Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah, Entertainment Weekly has also published their report from the Wonder Woman 1984 set. The feature includes two new photos of the Wonder Woman 1984 armor worn by Gal Gadot, titled the “Golden Warrior Armor.”

The article says that “Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming (a veteran of many Bonds and Batmans) spent long hours working with designers and artisans to nail down multiple iterations of the famous wings.

“Some are made from a spine-straining carbon fiber weighing upwards of 44 pounds; one set, destined to be CG’ed later, looks almost tablet-like, a sort of platinum-dipped Ten Commandments; another like an extremely blingy set of Venetian blinds.”

Of the Wonder Woman 1984 armor, Hemming said she wanted to make sure that “in the light it’s always liquid, moving. There’s a feeling of non-flatness…. Because in the comics, she does fight her mightiest battles in the golden suit.”

Director Patty JenkinsWonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot in the title role, alongside Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Super-Villain The Cheetah, Pedro Pascal as Max Lord, Robin Wright as Antiope and Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta.
