Following the teaser trailer, the Screen Media Films has now released the full trailer for The Jesus Rolls as well. You can watch the trailer for The Jesus Rolls below and let us know what you think in the comments underneath.
Coming to select theaters and On Demand March 6th, the film is both a remake of the 1974 French film Going Places by Bertrand Blier and a spin-off to the 1998 film The Big Lebowski by the Coen brothers.
John Turturro, reprises his role as Jesus Quintana from The Big Lebowski, directed the movie and wrote the screenplay.
The Jesus Rolls follows a trio of misfits whose irreverent, sexually-charged dynamic evolves into a surprising love story as their spontaneous and flippant attitude toward the past or future backfires time and again, even as they inadvertently perform good deeds.
When they make enemies with a gun-toting hairdresser, their journey becomes one of constant escape from the law, from society and from the hairdresser – all while the bonds of their outsider family strengthen.
The film also stars Bobby Cannavale, Audrey Tautou, Christopher Walken, Jon Hamm, Pete Davidson, and Susan Sarandon.
The producers include Sidney Kimmel, Robert Salerno, Paul-Dominique Vacharasinthu, John Penotti, and Fernando Sulichin.
The Big Lebowski opened in theaters in March of 1998 and grossed $46.7 million worldwide, with $18 million coming from North America and $28.7 million from overseas markets. The film was written, produced, and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen.
