Antoine Fuqua and Chris Pratt Team on Series The Terminal List

-

MRC Television announced today the studio is developing The Terminal List, a new TV series based on the best-selling novel by Jack Carr (buy at Amazon). Chris Pratt will both star and executive produce via his Indivisible Productions. Antoine Fuqua will direct and executive produce the series through his Fuqua Films. David DiGilio is set to write the script and executive produce.

The Terminal List, a Civic Center Media project in association with MRC Television, is a conspiracy thriller that combines elevated action with deep psychological questions about the cost of pushing our nation’s highest trained operators too far.

The series follows Reece (Pratt) after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. Reece returns home with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him.

This marks the second time Pratt and Fuqua have worked together. Fuqua directed Pratt in The Magnificent Seven for Sony Pictures along with Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke. The film opened the 2016 Toronto Film Festival and closed the 2016 Venice Film Festival.

Pratt recently appeared in the record-breaking hit Avengers: Endgame, which has grossed over $2.7 billion worldwide. Prior to that, Pratt’s Star-Lord led Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy films where the first installment was one of the top three grossing films of 2014 with over $770 million at the global box office.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 surpassed the first episode’s box office with over $860 million worldwide. Pratt returned to the role of Owen in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in June 2018. In 2015, he headlined Jurassic World, the seventh-highest grossing film of all time.

Fuqua’s films include The Equalizer, The Equalizer 2, The Magnificent Seven, Olympus Has Fallen, Southpaw and Training Day, which earned an Academy Award for Denzel Washington for Best Actor, and a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Ethan Hawke.

He has expanded his work in television, signing an exclusive multi-year overall production deal with Ben Silverman and Howard Owens’ Propagate. Under the deal, Fuqua and his production company Fuqua Films, will team with Propagate on both scripted and non-scripted projects.

Fuqua has executive produced and created numerous television series, including The Resident, Shooter, Training Day and Ice. Additionally, his next film is Infinite, starring Mark Wahlberg and to be released by Paramount on August 7, 2020.

David DiGilio started his television career in the thriller genre, creating the series Traveler, starring Matt Bomer and Viola Davis, for ABC in 2007. Most recently, he was the executive producer and showrunner for CBS All Access’ Strange Angel, created by Mark Heyman and executive produced by Heyman, Ridley Scott and David Zucker.
