The concert and trailer drop will take place on Friday at 12:00 p.m. PT / 3:00 p.m. ET and will be live streamed. NBC is expected to televise The Road to F9: Fast & Furious Fan Fest later that day at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The hourlong F9 concert special celebrates the upcoming ninth chapter in the Fast & Furious series and will feature the world premiere of the trailer. Tyrese Gibson and Maria Menounos will host the festival. Global superstars Cardi B, Wiz Khalifa & Charlie Puth, Ozuna and Ludacris are set to perform.

There will be special appearances by franchise stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and Nathalie Emmanuel, as well as newcomer to the Fast & Furious family, John Cena, and director Justin Lin.

Universal Pictures will open the anticipated ninth installment in theaters on May 22, 2020. Justin Lin is directing both the ninth installment and the 10th film, which is coming to theaters on April 2, 2021.

The Fast & Furious 9 cast includes Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Anna Sawai, John Cena, Charlize Theron, Michael Rooker and Dame Helen Mirren.

Dan Casey wrote the screenplay from a story by Lin. Diesel is producing through his One Race Films and Lin for Perfect Storm Entertainment.

Hobbs & Shaw grossed $759 million at the worldwide box office earlier this year, with $173.8 million coming from North America and $585.1 million from international markets.
