Blake Lively stars as Stephanie Patrick, an ordinary woman on a path of self-destruction after her family is tragically killed in a plane crash. When Stephanie discovers that the crash was not an accident, she enters a dark, complex world to seek revenge on those responsible and find her own redemption. Jude Law and Sterling K. Brown also star.
Based on the novel of the same name by Mark Burnell, from director Reed Morano (The Handmaid’s Tale) and the producers of the James Bond film series, The Rhythm Section also stars Max Casella.
The film is scheduled to open in theaters on January 31, 2020. Originally the movie was going to open in theaters on February 22, 2019, but Blake Lively suffered an injury on the set and production was halted temporarily. Filming first began in December of 2017 in Dublin, Ireland and shooting also took place in Spain.
The producers of the movie are Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, who also have the 25th James Bond movie, No Time to Die, coming to theaters on April 3, 2020.
