Apple today announced that both Home Before Dark and Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet have been renewed for a second season.
Home Before Dark is a dramatic mystery series inspired by the reporting of young investigative journalist Hilde Lysiak. Directed and executive produced by Jon M. Chu, the series will premiere its first three episodes Friday, April 3 exclusively on Apple TV+, and new episodes will premiere weekly thereafter every Friday.
Home Before Dark follows a young girl who moves from Brooklyn to the small lakeside town her father left behind. While there, her dogged pursuit of the truth leads her to unearth a cold case that everyone in town, including her own father, tried hard to bury.
Home Before Dark stars Brooklynn Prince, Jim Sturgess, Abby Miller, Kylie Rogers, Adrian Hough, Jibrail Nantambu, Deric McCabe and Joelle Carter. The series is created and executive produced by showrunners Dana Fox and Dara Resnik. It is written and executive produced by Russel Friend and Garrett Lerner, and executive produced by Joy Gorman Wettels, Rosemary Rodriguez and Sharlene Martin. The show is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content.
Co-created by Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), the comedy series Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet is premiering on Friday, February 7. All nine, half-hour episodes will be available on Apple TV+ the day of premiere.
Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet follows a team of video game developers as they navigate the challenges of running a popular video game. In addition to McElhenney, who stars as the fictional company’s creative director, Ian Grimm, the ensemble cast also includes Academy Award-winner F. Murray Abraham, Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim, Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, Ashly Burch and Jessie Ennis.
Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet is executive produced by McElhenney and Day under their RCG banner; Michael Rotenberg and Nicholas Frenkel on behalf of 3Arts; and Jason Altman, Danielle Kreinik and Gérard Guillemot for Ubisoft Film & Television. David Hornsby (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Megan Ganz (Modern Family, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) also executive produce. The series is produced by the Lionsgate/3 Arts Entertainment venture and Ubisoft.
