In Blumhouse’s new spin on Fantasy Island, the enigmatic Mr. Roarke makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives.

The cast includes Michael PeñaMaggie Q, Lucy Hale, Austin Stowell, Portia Doubleday, Jimmy O. Yang, Ryan Hansen, and Michael Rooker.

Directed by Jeff Wadlow, Fantasy Island is written by Jeff Wadlow & Chris Roach & Jillian Jacobs and is produced by Jason Blum and Marc Toberoff. The executive producers include Jeff Wadlow, Couper Samuelson, and Jeanette Volturno.

Before it became a TV series, Fantasy Island was introduced to viewers in 1977 and 1978 with two TV movies. Airing from 1978 to 1984, the Gene Levitt-created series starred Ricardo Montalbán as Mr. Roarke, the overseer of a mysterious island where people could come and live out their fantasies, albeit for a price. He was initially accompanied by a sidekick, Tattoo, played by Hervé Villechaize.
