In addition to the Special Look, a Black Widow featurette also aired during halftime of last night’s College Football Playoff Championship. The Black Widow featurette dives into the legacy of Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, since her introduction on the big screen 10 years ago in Iron Man 2.
In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller Black Widow, Natasha confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. The film opens in U.S. theaters on May 1, 2020.
Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow in Black Widow, the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour as Alexei aka The Red Guardian and Rachel Weisz as Melina. Ray Winstone, William Hurt and O-T Fagbenle also star.
The film is directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige. Written by Jac Schaeffer, Ned Benson and Eric Pearson, the movie is executive produced by Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Nigel Gostelow and Scarlett Johansson.
Johannson has played the role of Natasha Romanoff in Iron Man 2, The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
