Breeders, starring Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard, is premiering on March 2nd on FX and FX on Hulu. Breeders is an uncompromising comedy that explores the lives of Paul (Freeman) and Ally (Haggard) as they juggle full-time careers, aging parents, a mortgage and the unenviable curveballs of parenting their young children. When Ally’s estranged father appears on their doorstep, the family essentially takes on a third child – but this one comes with baggage and opinions.
The 10-episode first season is produced by FX Productions, Avalon Television and Sky Original Productions. Academy Award nominee and double Emmy Award winner Simon Blackwell (Veep, Back, Peep Show) is the showrunner. Breeders was created by Blackwell, double Emmy Award and Directors Guild of America winner Chris Addison (Veep, The Thick of It, The Hustle) and Emmy and Bafta-winning Martin Freeman. The executive producers are Blackwell, Addison, Freeman, Richard Allen-Turner, Rob Aslett, David Martin, Jon Thoday and Michael Wiggs.
Dave, starring Lil Dicky, will premiere on March 4th on FXX and FX on Hulu. Dave is centered on a neurotic man in his late twenties who has convinced himself that he’s destined to be one of the best rappers of all time. Now he must convince his closest friends, because with their help, he actually might convince the world.
The half-hour comedy is based on the life of rapper and comedian Dave Burd.
