Christian Bale in Talks to Join Thor: Love and Thunder!

-

Oscar winner Christian Bale is in talks to join Chris Hemsworth in Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder, according to Collider. The site says it is unknown who he is playing, but which character do you think it is? Let us know in the comments! Christian Bale previously starred in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy.

Opening in theaters on November 5, 2021, Thor: Love and Thunder will be written and directed by Taika Waititi. Filming is expected to start this August.

Tessa Thompson will be back as Valkyrie and Natalie Portman will return to the franchise as Jane Foster, who will become the Mighty Thor, the goddess of Thunder. Waititi will also be reprising the character Korg, who he played in both Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame.

Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok earned an impressive $853.9 million at the worldwide box office in 2017. $315 million of the total came from domestic theaters and $538.9 million from international markets.

In Thor: Ragnarok, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his home world and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela (Cate Blanchett). But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) – and grapple with his silver-tongued adopted brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston), the fierce warrior Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and the eccentric Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum).

Avengers: Endgame saw Thor joining his fellow Avengers to take down Thanos. He then appoints Valkyrie as the new ruler of New Asgard and joins the Guardians of the Galaxy, who will go on a quest to look for Gamora.
