2020 Emmy Awards Winners Announced

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences today announced the 2020 Emmy Awards winners in a virtual ceremony hosted and executive produced by Jimmy Kimmel. The 72nd Emmy Awards were broadcast by ABC.

Making special appearances during the broadcast were Anthony Anderson, Jason Bateman, Sterling K. Brown, Laverne Cox, D-Nice, America Ferrera, Morgan Freeman, Ilana Glazer, Abbi Jacobson, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Randall Park, Issa Rae, RuPaul, and Patrick Stewart.

Also appearing were Jason Sudeikis, Gabrielle Union, Count Von Count of Sesame Street, Lena Waithe, J.J. Watt, Oprah Winfrey, Ty Burrell, Ken Jeong, Mindy Kaling, Tatiana Maslany and Bob Newhart. H.E.R. performed during the “In Memoriam” segment.

HBO’s Watchmen took the top spot for program nominations with 26 followed by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (20), Ozark (18), Succession (18), The Mandalorian (15), Schitt’s Creek (15), Saturday Night Live (15) and The Crown (13).
