The Legion of Leia Podcast is back! This week, myself and my co-host Anastasia Washington are taking on two big cinematic events. First up, we’re talking all about the Cats movie, which has to be seen to be believed. You’ve read the reviews. You’ve seen the trailer. You still don’t know what you’re in for. I’m not okay, you guys. I’m not sure I’ll ever be okay again, and this is coming from a former musical theatre major who saw it on Broadway twice. The Cats movie has upset my soul. There are dancing cockroaches. We’ll give you the shudder-inducing scoop.
Then we’re taking on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Fear not, padawan. There are no spoilers here. When we recorded this yesterday, I’d seen it twice, and I’ve now seen it a third time. I loved it, so be warned. The Twitter responses to my initial impressions have been… well, feel free to read them here. The tweet is pinned. They’re entertaining. That’s one way to put it. Anastasia and I will be doing a full spoiler-filled discussion with Jeffrey Henderson (Star Wars: The Sable Corsair) right after Christmas so everyone has time to see it first.
We also take on the upcoming second He-Man series, and reminisce about our love for He-Man and She-Ra. I went to an art show based on the characters once. I saw things. There was a velvet painting of Skeletor lounging in a state of undress on a rug. It’s burned into my brain forever.
Make sure to subscribe on iTunes and may the Force be with you. If you do see Cats, make sure you tweet us your review.
