New Top Gun: Maverick Poster Flies in Ahead of the Trailer!

Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions have released the new Top Gun: Maverick poster before the new trailer comes online on Monday at 5 a.m. PT / 8 a.m. ET. You can view the Top Gun: Maverick poster in the gallery below and you can still watch the first trailer by clicking here.

Top Gun: Maverick takes place 34 years after the events of the original film and pits legendary Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell as the new flight instructor of Top Gun, in which he guides Bradley, Goose’s son, who seeks to become a pilot much as his father was.

Top Gun: Maverick co-stars Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Charles Parnell, Bashir Salahuddin, Monica Barbaro, Jay Ellis, Danny Ramirez, Greg Tarzan Davis with Ed Harris.

Scheduled for a June 26, 2020 release, the film reunites Tom Cruise with his Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski. The anticipated film is executive produced by Tommy Harper, Chad Oman, Mike Stenson, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger. The producers are Jerry Bruckheimer, Tom Cruise, Christopher McQuarrie, and David Ellison. The script was written by Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer, and Christopher McQuarrie.

The original Top Gun opened in theaters on May 16, 1986 and grossed $356.8 million worldwide, with $179.8 million coming from North America and $177 million from overseas.
