Following the trailer from earlier this week, The CW has now debuted the Crisis on Infinite Earths extended trailer, which you can watch above. The network has also brought online the crazy first trailer for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 5, which you can check out below. The fifth season of the series premieres on Tuesday, January 21.

Crisis on Infinite Earths is officially described as follows: “Pariah (Tom Cavanagh) enlists Black Lightning (guest star Cress Williams) to help stop the Anti-Monitor (guest star LaMonica Garrett) after Flash-90 (guest star John Wesley Shipp) shares what he learned from his battle in ‘Elseworlds.’ With the help of Black Lightning, Barry (Grant Gustin), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) come up with a plan that could save them all. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) has a heart-to-heart with Ryan Choi (guest star Osric Chau), while Oliver (guest star Stephen Amell) and Diggle (guest star David Ramsey) return to an old familiar stomping ground. David McWhirter directed the episode with story by Eric Wallace and teleplay by Lauren Certo & Sterling Gates.”

In the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic book published by DC Comics, written by Marv Wolfman and pencilled by George Pérez, the Anti-Monitor is unleashed on the DC Multiverse and begins to destroy the various Earths that it comprises. The heroes and villains of the Earths end up being united by the Spectre in order to battle the Anti-Monitor.

The Crisis on Infinite Earths cast includes the multiple versions of Superman played by Tyler Hoechlin, Brandon Routh and Tom Welling, Elizabeth Tulloch and Erica Durance as the multiple Lois Lanes, Tom Cavanagh as Pariah, Audrey Marie Anderson as Harbinger, Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor, Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne, Ashley Scott as Huntress, Osric Chau as Ryan Choi, Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Johnathon Schaech as Jonah Hex, Stephen Lobo as Detective Jim Corrigan, and many more of The CW series’ regulars.

The CW will present Crisis on Infinite Earths across five different episodes of the network’s hit superhero series and spanning two quarters (December 2019 and January 2020). Supergirl will kick things off on Sunday, December 8, and will be followed by Batwoman on Monday, December 9, and The Flash on Tuesday, December 10.
