Pedro Pascal’s Wonder Woman 1984 Role Maybe Confirmed by Tweet

It appears that director Patty Jenkins has confirmed the long-standing rumor that Pedro Pascal’s Wonder Woman 1984 role is that of Maxwell Lord. In her tweet, Jenkins says, “Well hello… Max. #WW1984” with a pic of Lord from the comics. You can check out the tweet below.

The character of Maxwell Lord first appeared in Justice League #1 in May 1987 and was created by Keith Giffen, J. M. DeMatteis, and Kevin Maguire. He is the founder of Lord Technologies in the comics, and helps create the Justice League International. The character was played in the TV series Smallville by Gil Bellows, and on Supergirl by Peter Facinelli.

Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, and Chris Pine. Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Stephen Jones and Gal Gadot are producing the film. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada are the executive producers.

Warner Bros. Pictures will release the highly-anticipated sequel on June 5, 2020. Wonder Woman 1984 is based on the character created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.
