Birds of Prey to Open Comic Con Experience on December 5th

-

Warner Bros. Pictures’ Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is set to headline opening night of this year’s Comic Con Experience (CCXP) in São Paulo on Thursday, December 5th, with a presentation as full of surprises as super-anti-heroine Harley herself.

United for the first time ever on the big screen, the Birds of Prey — Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya — join Harley Quinn and Cassandra Cain in the larger-than-life actioner. Of course, Harley makes a splash wherever she goes, so with her gang in tow, the girls are teed up to hit the stage in Brazil and give the fans a taste of what’s to come when the movie hits theaters in February.

Taking place in the 3,500-seat Thunder Hall, the star-studded panel includes Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Huntress), Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Black Canary), Rosie Perez (Renee Montoya), Ella Jay Basco (Cassandra Cain) and director Cathy Yan, all assembled to show the audience a sneak peek at clips from the film and to dish about what it was like to bring the Birds together.

The film’s cast also includes Ewan McGregor as the villain Black Mask, Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, Steven Williams, Derek Wilson, Dana Lee, Francois Chau, and Matthew Willig.

Birds of Prey will have Harley Quinn, Huntress, and Black Canary teaming up to protect Cain when she comes across a diamond belonging to Black Mask, a kingpin in Gotham City’s criminal underworld. Cathy Yan directs the Warner Bros. release from a script by Christina Hodson. Birds of Prey is produced by Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment, Kroll & Co Entertainment’s Sue Kroll, and Clubhouse Pictures’ Bryan Unkeless.

Warner Bros. and DC have set a February 7, 2020 release date for the anticipated film. You can watch the first trailer by clicking here.
